⚽ Gameweek 15 Review

Gameweek 15 served up another tight and tactical round, with the top end of the table separated by the slimmest of margins. At the very top, we had a three-way share of first as The Delgany Sharks, Leave My Arselona and Dynamo Chicken Kiev all delivered superb 5/6 returns on the 50-pointers, banking 252 points each. It was a proper heavyweight showing from three teams already firmly in the season-long conversation.

Just a point back, Allison Wonderland, The Mighty Duck and Sevilla Euro King all hit 5/6 as well, landing on 251 points and forming a very strong chasing group. Behind them, Bandwagonesque, ManlyChestHair Utd and Arcticus each posted excellent 4/6 returns for 202 points, while Cunha Beleba!?, Prediction Prophets, Rathfarnham Rats and Free Estate Kenmare all landed in the 200–201 range to keep their seasons moving in the right direction.

The mid-pack remained incredibly congested. Ctrl Alt De Ligt rounded off the four-correct group on 200 points, while An A Corse Celtic led a string of solid 3/6 scores. Team Name Taken, I Predict Deez Tings, 2inarow, Blasters FC, FC 20 Benson&Hedges and H-N Ham Fighters all finished on 151–152 points, the kind of steady week that keeps you in touch even when others hit bigger numbers.

Just behind them, Predicted It Admin1, SandraBullock FC, ThomastheFrankEngine, Moore-4-2, Maxie Pads and Sky Blue Blues all posted 2/6 cards around the 100-point mark. Not a disaster by any means, but with so many rivals hitting 4/6 and 5/6, it does mean a little ground lost heading into the festive run.

At the very bottom, though, GW15 belonged to one unfortunate side. De Ligt My Balls had a week to forget, coming away with 0/6 on the 50-point questions and a total of 0 points — the full Wooden Spoon for the round. In a season where they’ve otherwise been strong, this one will sting, but with the Christmas schedule offering so many points in a short space of time, there’s plenty of opportunity to bounce back quickly.

📊 Competition Updates

Super Sevens — Sharks Take Control, Pack Refuses to Go Away

In the Super Sevens, The Delgany Sharks have moved into a commanding position at the top on 1,161 points (23 correct 50-pointers). Right behind them, H-N Ham Fighters sit on 1,083, just a single point ahead of The Mighty Duck and Leave My Arselona, who are locked together on 1,082. It’s a seriously stacked top four with almost nothing between them.

The chasing group is just as dangerous. Sevilla Euro King (1,035), Arcticus (983) and Rathfarnham Rats (982) are all still very much in the hunt, while Moore-4-2, Dynamo Chicken Kiev and Free Estate Kenmare complete a fiercely competitive top ten. Just outside that, Ctrl Alt De Ligt, Blasters FC, Bandwagonesque, Sky Blue Blues and An A Corse Celtic are all sitting within striking distance if they can hit one big round.

Lower down, there are still important moves being made. I Predict Deez Tings, Allison Wonderland, De Ligt My Balls and Cunha Beleba!? all remain in touch with the main pack despite mixed fortunes in GW15. With a couple more rounds left in this seven-week sprint, one explosive set of predictions could still flip the entire leaderboard on its head.

Season Gauntlet — Rats Lead, Sunderland Shakes Up the Pack

In the Season Gauntlet, Rathfarnham Rats continue to lead the way on an impressive 3,912 points, holding a slim but significant advantage over H-N Ham Fighters on 3,762. The Delgany Sharks remain firmly in contention on 3,715, with Arcticus surging into fourth on 3,637 after another strong round. Leave My Arselona (3,535) and Moore-4-2 (3,513) round out a very competitive top six.

Just behind them, the race for the top ten is incredibly tight. 2inarow sits on 3,482, followed by Cunha Beleba!? (3,456) and Dynamo Chicken Kiev (3,437). SweeperVision and An A Corse Celtic are level on 3,407, meaning a single Gameweek could shuffle that entire cluster. Further down, consistent scoring from Blasters FC, Ctrl Alt De Ligt, De Ligt My Balls, Team Name Taken and Free Estate Kenmare keeps the top 20 feeling tightly packed rather than settled.

GW15 also finally settled another big preseason call. Preseason Question 8 asked: “Which of the three newly promoted teams (Burnley, Leeds, Sunderland) will be highest in the table on Christmas Day?” With Sunderland now too far ahead of both Burnley and Leeds for either to catch them before Christmas, that question has been determined — and the 19% of the community who backed Sunderland have just been rewarded with a huge 200-point boost. For a lot of players, that has meant a serious jump up the standings at exactly the right time.

With more big-value questions still to be decided and the festive schedule about to kick into overdrive, there’s a huge amount of movement still to come. A single hot streak over the Christmas period could turn a solid season into a genuine title charge — and GW16 is the first big step in that run.
