📰 Gameweek 6 News

Gameweek 6 questions are live.

The deadline, as always, is kick-off of the first game, which this week is 12:30pm on Saturday 27th September.

⚽ Gameweek 5 Review

There was no hanging about at the top. Team Name Taken set the tempo and never looked back — the only side to post 250 points, five tidy 50-pointers and the air of a team that knew exactly what the Gameweek demanded.

Just behind came a hard-charging pack on 200 points: Cunha Beleba!?, Moore-4-2, Rathfarnham Rats, BitofClass, Zirkzee Beast and Dynamo Chicken Kiev. All six read the weekend’s action perfectly — no panic, no crazy picks, just steady points that keep the pressure on.

There was plenty of sensible predictions at 150 points too. Predicted It Admin1, TK Predictions, An A Corse Celtic 🤟🤤, Sevilla Euro King, Sky Blue Blues, LeedsMOT and Arcticus all kept themselves moving in the right direction; not box-office stuff, but slow and steady can get you far.

Further down, a raft of 100-point finishes told the tale of “close, but not quite”: De Ligt My Balls, The Delgany Sharks, I Predict Deez Tings, Ctrl Alt De Ligt, Bandwagonesque, The Mighty Duck, Free Estate Kenmare, Leave My Arselona, Sandrabullock FC, Manlychesthair Utd, Maxie Pads, FC 20 Benson&Hedges, Salahvation Army, SweeperVision and Fruitsalahyummyyummy all picked their moments but missed the big swing. Fine margins, frayed nerves.

2inarow, Blasters FC and H-N Ham Fighters limped over the line with 50 points — just enough to keep the lights on. And the Wooden Spoon? That dubious honour goes to Prediction Prophets with 0 points. Brutal. But don’t let it define you — leave it in the past and come out swinging in GW6.

📊 Competition Updates

Last Man Standing (Season Ticket holders)
From a crowd to a cage fight — we’re down to the final five. Team Name Taken sailed through with five 50-pointers; Dynamo Chicken Kiev were only a whisker behind with four; and An A Corse Celtic 🤟🤤, Sky Blue Blues and LeedsMOT all did the professional thing and found their three to survive. That’s proper tournament nous.
The cull in GW5 was not for the faint-hearted: 2inarow, Bandwagonesque, Blasters FC, Ctrl Alt De Ligt, H-N Ham Fighters, I Predict Deez Tings, Manlychesthair Utd, Maxie Pads, Prediction Prophets and SweeperVision all fell. There are shocks in there — Blasters FC exit despite sitting 4th in the Season Gauntlet; H-N Ham Fighters (top ten overall) and Ctrl Alt De Ligt also bow out. Big beasts gone, opportunity knocking for the survivors. Five in, twenty-three out. Squeaky-bum time.
Super Sevens (after 2 of 7 GWs)
Plenty of runway left and a stack of 75-pointers still to be settled, so expect movement. Dynamo Chicken Kiev lead on 451, with Team Name Taken and Zirkzee Beast tucked in on 401. The chase is lively on 351Ctrl Alt De Ligt, Arcticus, Sky Blue Blues — with Rathfarnham Rats, An A Corse Celtic 🤟🤤 and Cunha Beleba!? peering over their shoulders on 350. A single well-judged weekend will flip this more than once.
Season Gauntlet (after 5 GWs)
Sky Blue Blues keep the leader’s jersey on 1,378, but it’s congested in behind: Cunha Beleba!? (1,276) and An A Corse Celtic 🤟🤤 (1,275) are trading blows a point apart, while Blasters FC (1,253) and The Delgany Sharks (1,252) are one clean Sunday from turning the whole thing inside-out.
Rathfarnham Rats and Dynamo Chicken Kiev (both 1,226) lurk in the slipstream; H-N Ham Fighters (1,153) and Sevilla Euro King (1,126) are still well in the argument. And don’t sleep on Team Name Taken (1,078) — last week’s win has them climbing with momentum.
The “most correct picks” board backs it up: Sky Blue Blues lead with 23 total correct (19×50, 3×75, 1×200), but a cluster at 20–21Cunha Beleba!?, Blasters FC, Dynamo Chicken Kiev, H-N Ham Fighters, An A Corse Celtic 🤟🤤, The Delgany Sharks, Rathfarnham Rats, I Predict Deez Tings — shows the depth of the chase. In short: stack your 50s, time your punches, and the table will come to you.
